UHMW POROUS RODS

**Please Allow 24-48 Hours For the Hydrophilic Treatment To Be Completed Prior To Shipping

Porous Rods are used in wicking and venting applications.  Through capillary action, our porous plastic wicks are capable of drawing aqueous and non-aqueous fluids out of a reservoir for dispersion through direct absorption or evaporation.  Standard hydrophobic and hydrophilic formulations are available to accommodate your needs.  Custom molded shapes and material formulations allow precise control of reservoir capacity, evaporation rates and wick rates.  Genpore’s porous plastic applicators and lubricant reservoirs are designed to provide control of rate of Genpore’s application, flow properties and wick rates.  Other sizes and porosities are available upon request (Please Call 800-331-7724 for pricing, availability & lead times).  Note: The “L” after the part number signifies hydrophilic.  All hydrophilic treatment is surfactant based.

*Hydrophobic = Fear of water, repels water
**Hydrophilic = Filters water

UHMW POROUS TUBES

**Please Allow 24-48 Hours For the Hydrophilic Treatment To Be Completed Prior To Shipping

As a leader in porous plastics, Genpore manufactures top quality diffuser, aeration and filtration tubes.  These tubes are made from UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) polyethylene, PE co-polymers, or polypropylene with an average pore size from 5-200 microns.  Standard hydrophobic and hydrophilic formulations are available to accommodate your needs.  We can Produce tubes from .250″ up to 30″ in diameter.  We have the capability to manufacture these tubes up to 8 foot in length.  Our porous tube is strong at various wall thicknesses with the ability to withstand high levels of pressure.  Also the plastic material is resistant to many chemicals and a wide range of temperatures.  Our specialized manufacturing processes allow us to maintain a homogeneous pore structure throughout the tube.  This provides you with a greater consistency in your application.  Additional sizes and porosities are available upon request (Please Call 800-331-7724 for pricing, availability & lead times).  Note: The “L” after the part number signifies hydrophilic.  All hydrophilic treatment is surfactant based.
