Pipetting needles are equipment that is extensively used in laboratory procedures for biology, chemistry, life science, chemical synthesis, material science, chromatography, analytical science and medicine research. It is fitted with nickel plated hub(s) so that it can be used for applications involving critical procedures or corrosive materials. It is expected that pipetting needles work extremely well with either precision automatic volume pipettors or manual dispensers and diluters.

Therefore, these needles should be easy to handle, can be cleaned repeatedly and reused for laboratory activities. They are used in severe chemical and high temperature applications.  Before they are used, these needles must be cleaned and sterilized using the standard high end ultrasonic cleaning, which ensures that all the needles are burr and contaminant free.

It is used in the medical & neuroscience industries for drawing fluids and dispensing precise droplets. Pipette needles are available in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 inch lengths and are available from 6 gauge up to 30 gauge. All pipette needles have female luer lock hubs with SS304 stainless steel tubing and is very economical. They are not typically sold individually, but in packs of 3, 12 or 24 needles.

One of the many uses is as an adapter to connect syringes and stopcocks to small catheter microtubing.

From the above, it is evident that pipetting needles are important tools used in conducting research.
